Recently, the Machinery Factory of Daqing Petrochemical Company signed a contract with Guangzhou Petrochemical to manufacture direct contact accumulators independently developed and produced by Guangzhou Petrochemical. This product fills the gap in domestic large-scale compressor units equipped with direct contact accumulators.

Previously, the accumulators used in large-scale compressor units in our country were all capsule accumulators, which had defects such as insufficient oil supply, easy damage to the airbags, and oil leakage. The direct contact accumulator directly contacts the lubricating oil and nitrogen filled inside the accumulator housing. It uses a steel float that can float up and down for bottom sealing. The float has sufficient strength and rigidity, does not require maintenance or replacement, and the sealing effect fully meets the process performance requirements. Its advantages are large capacity, sensitive response, small inertia of the moving parts and no mechanical wear. The new accumulator system has been changed from pressure control to liquid level control and equipped with interlock alarms, making the inspection of the accumulator system more convenient and intuitive, and enhancing the anti-interference ability of the unit's oil system.

It is learned that the direct contact accumulator has been successfully installed on the large compressor unit of the 760,000-ton/year fertilizer plant of Daqing Petrochemical Company and put into use. It has solved the hidden dangers during the operation of the large unit of the ammonia synthesis plant and can increase the annual efficiency of the enterprise by more than 2 million yuan.
